WHAT THEY DO
Othersphere’s SaaS product reveals the ideal locations to build production assets for low-emission commodities where economics will be best, emissions lowest, and the project will be a beneficial fit with local surroundings. The tool is designed to lower project costs and improve yields by a minimum of 5%, while reducing emissions by accelerating the development and adoption of clean energy.
WHY WE’RE EXCITED
The incumbent technology to identify project sites for green technology like hydrogen is inefficient and leads to bottlenecks that prevent development. Othersphere enables developers to identify sites with favorable economics amid changing energy costs, all while considering life cycle emissions, shifting policy dynamics, local community sentiment and near and long-term environmental conditions among a litany of other factors.
Othersphere’s tiled-based, high resolution model indexes the globe based on commodity, human and environmental system variables. Initially focused on hydrogen with plans to expand to other physical commodities, Othersphere lowers costs and improves fundamentals while streamlining the deployment bottleneck to shift how we power society.
