“The two and three wheeler industry is a larger contributor globally to GHG emissions — larger than the aviation industry. But from a physics perspective, it's dramatically easier to electrify.”
- Michael Spencer, Founder and CEO of Zeno
Reducing costs & emissions with swappable Electric Motorcycle Batteries.
Globally, two-wheelers represent ~30% of vehicles and account for 5-10% of GHG emissions. India and a handful of African countries make up 20% of the world’s motorcycle fleet but are stuck with electrification rates less than 5% due to lack of options, performance challenges and inflated pricing.
Zeno’s electric motorcycle features a swappable battery that customers can exchange through the company’s network of stations. In addition to lowering emissions and improving air quality, Zeno’s membership model can lead to 50% lower total cost of ownership over a motorcycle’s 10 year lifespan–which is especially compelling in markets like East Africa where typical motorcycle owners spend 50-60% of their income on fuel.
